Janette Hoffman has a unique background in the music industry, with a penchant for bold line-ups, artistic pairings, and crossing cultures.
Her 15+ years of experience include working in creative placements at EMI Music, planning and production for festivals such as Governor’s Ball, and in-house work leading full-suite music programming inside arts institutions. Until recently, Janette was the promoter and producer of the North Carolina Museum of Art’s 2800 capacity outdoor concert venue, booking the likes of Wilco, Herbie Hancock, Big Thief, Andrew Bird, Lake Street Dive, Jacob Collier, Amadou & Mariam, Thao, and many more. She has programmed for television, web, and in-person events, playlisted for Museum exhibition openings, and guided artists in career next steps for leveling up.
Headquartered in Durham, NC, she has produced projects globally, and is always looking for her next adventure.
On a personal level, she was raised in a multicultural household, has lived on 3 continents, and has, in addition to her love of music, a passion for cultural and educational programming that promotes equity and inclusion.
